Hi any one building the Mountfleet Model Coaster C642 keen to build one of these as a ww2 type vessel with light armament fitted tassie48.

Some of the larger ammo boats had some small weapons, I have not any info on coasters, but an old friend of mine served on the ammo boats through the war. If you want I will email him and ask if he can remember any of the naval store boats were armed. The victualling department coasters during the war were painted grey with a green funnel band, the ammo boats a red 18 inch band and the oilers a brown band.

Hi, I have spoken to my old pal and as far as he rememembers, the only armed admiralty coasters where the ammo ones. The normal store boats were not as a rule armed.
