Tim Morgan's Scale Model Warships. Its a good read but doesnt contain as much info on 'how to do' things. The first couple of chapters are taken up with development of warships, particularly RN ones. All very interesting but its not what I wanted the book for!
There's pics of many warships but precious little in how to actually build or overcome difficult areas. All in all a tad disappointing. Still, I've got upto £350 to spend on my next project which could be HMS Antelope or Ardent, both of which were lost in the Falklands and might be a nice way for my own little memorial to those who lost their lives.
-
The lady of the house bought me the anteo (matua) can't wait to finish my other projects
-
What did I get? As Paul Daniels would say, not a lot!
-
Sniffles and a bad cough! >:(
-
Christmas house rule? - don't buy Grumpy anything that smells or can be worn - works for me.
Basic rundown of my pressies this year: A new Nitro truck (Tamiya TNX), an indoor mini helicopter(Picooz), Revells HMS Victory (the set in the big box with the paints etc) couple of books by Cussler, Clarkson dvd and loads of vouchers for the local model shop, led head torch ( look like a prat - but at least I can see!)
Mind you, If I spent on myself what I spent on her and the 'kids' - I could have had at least triple, but that's against the spirit of Christmas...isn't it?
Glad it's over, now the family bit's over I can get back in the garage.
Happy New Year to you all !

4. Free beer from one of the bartenders and a hug! (No, her name's Kim.)

... lots of things for my new household, unfortunately nothing for modeling.... :P
(Why do they think I need a juicer if there are much more interesting things for modeling- and they are much more important!! ::) )
... and no smellies (I smell enuff on my own- don`t need a foreign smell on me)

Why do they think I need a juicer
For mixing up your Humbrol paint silly! ;)
-
Colin- that`s why I have a mixer.... ;D 15000 rpm for mixing up a colour is fair enough.
The juicer just can be taken for the case that I can`t open that @%ß*# paint can.... ::)

Bloomin socks ,socks and more flippin socks

Nothing for modelling but I did buy myself a well illustrated book on unusual boats.
As I dip into it I will blatantly infringe copyright and show you all some interesting stuff. However, the text will be in French.
Roger in France.
