A bit more:-

The 1975, US-built James Surveyor catamaran tug, built as the L.E. STEWART, later renamed JARAMAC 66 with dimensions of 55m. 23 m. and a 5.5m. draught, had 3,200BHP and  72 tonne bollard pull. The design took several years for McDermott Shipyard to produce and appears to have been their only catamaran design. Also designed for ice class, with a triple drum winch, bow thrusters and DP, the vessel perhaps was designed for everything but could not do any one thing particularly well. She now operates in West Africa under the name of Coeus.

Thanks Barry and Martin, very informative.

I love unusual ships and I think that one definitely fits the bill.
It may even get me to build out of my normal scale choice. 1:16 may be a little large with this one.

I work with a chap here who used to be her skipper.  She was designed for picking up anchor buoys between the hull and had a large "trap door" in the aft deck.  She was never very good at anything and was mostly used for towing and supply.

He does say that she had fantastic accommodation though!  LOL!
