I have a airbrush but carefully brush painted the decks on 'Smit Ierland'
Here is a link to the real tug to compare the colour http://media.shipspotting.com/uploads/photos/rw/483608/Ship+Photo+SMIT+IERLAND.jpg (http://media.shipspotting.com/uploads/photos/rw/483608/Ship+Photo+SMIT+IERLAND.jpg)

Very difficult getting a green paint from commercial dealers as, quote " but Sir, they don't make green cars these days". I always have this problem. If you find a make of car then please let us all know.
Cheers

If your worried about leaving streak marks on your deck, use a make up brush.
My missus was going to throw out her old (but unused) ones.
They are very fine hair, and leave no streaks.
I use humbrol matt 30

don't bother with humbrol, Halfords ford meadow green is what you want
