Post by: chris holley on March 25, 2010, 07:05:30 pm
Just bought myself a new charger the GT Power A8 :-)

I would like to no if it has a auto charger function on it %%

I used it yesterday but to charge nicd battery packs i had to enter amp data. there is a auto/man marked on the charger but have not got a glue how to get it to charge automatic? I have the read the instructions but just dont no, any advice would be great thanks

I have the A6D, the procedure is the same. Follow the flow chart in the manual and pages 15-16, it is not complicated.
GTP-A8 manual (http://www.4-max.co.uk/pdf/GTP-A8manual.pdf)
1. Plug in.
2. Press stop until "program select NiCd" appears.
3. Press enter to get "NiCd charge man or aut"
4. Press enter again and the "cur limit" xxA will blink.
5. Press "<" and ">" at the same time and the top line will change between "man" and "aut".
6. You still have to set the max current charge to avoid possibly damaging the battery before you proceed.
