Does anyone know I where I can get a small band saw to sit on my work top only want it to cut small bits of wood for doing my boats
as cheap as I can get one for cheers wallace :-))

If a scroll saw would be man enough for what you will be cutting
Screwfix do a cheap and cheerful one for about 60 coins of the realm

With regard to the saw shown in FLJ's link, for the money is ideal for general hobby use. I'd recommend the use of a quality blade and a few minutes spent on setting the guide rollers, etc.
The mitre guide is a perhaps a tad iffy, as too are the cheesy plastic knobs. But all in all, not a bad piece for just £100.00.

Hi, you can always wait until Aldi get them in again, ask at your local shop, good value for the price.
