Title: Hiab Crane
Post by: Tug-Kenny RIP on April 11, 2010, 08:57:28 pm

Where can I get a 1:12 version of this Hiab Crane please.  If it's one that can be motorised then that would be lovely.

Ken

I think you will struggle find anything like that ready built in 1/12 scale Ken, probably going have to scratch build that as well...

There's a member on Trawlerphotos that is starting to make kits of HIAB's for fishing boats ( very similar to the above ) in 1:12th , 1:16th , 1:24th and 1:32nd scale

You're not kidding Russ.  I've been researching and cant even find a toy in the shops that I could salvage.

Thanks Davie. Looks interesting. He's obviously found a gap in the market. I watch with interest.

Hi
I can supply an etched brass, 1/12th scale hyab for the Severn (as used on Speedline the kit).

It's OK now, as I've managed to scratch build one.  I may update it to a motorised version one day. Watch this space.  ok2

Speedline Models make a hyab crane in 1/12th and 1/16 as part of their Severn kits. Might just be able to do something for you?
