Tiger, quite fascinating. I had no idea that such a place existed...and would never have guessed its' location. What a shame (in a way) that there appears to be no attempt made to salvage these hulks as they do at Alang. You would have thought that such an impoverished country such as Mauretania would have jumped on this as a source of revenue. Seems not though. BY.

Alang is stunning on Google Earth. Very weird.
Here's Alang on Google maps (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=Alang,+Bhavnagar,+Gujarat,+India&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=18.808364,33.925781&ie=UTF8&cd=1&geocode=FWjjRgEdec9NBA&split=0&hq=&hnear=Alang,+Bhavnagar,+Gujarat,+India&ll=21.404321,72.192278&spn=0.007212,0.008283&t=h&z=17).
