The steam plant was originally destined for my Cruiser Tug,but I was being a little too ambitious as I have no Experience with steam the sensible thing to do was to fit it into a simple open launch to gain some.
I chose the Borkam as it seemed a simple build and quite a pretty boat.
Well it wasn't that simple but quite an experience.
Being a horizontal boiler I had to fit a shorter propshaft but the whole thing is quite a snug fit with a bit of juggling.

There is a small hatch in the floors fore and aft to "pour" in ballast.I opted for the solid type so I know where it is at all times.I enlarged the hatches so the ballast can be removed for easier transport.Looking at the plan view and moving fore to aft,thereceiver is in the focsal behind the lifebelt.Midships the the throttle servo is in the box like a packing case.Under the two seats the battery and switch harness,under the four seats is storage for the bell,lantern etc.and the rudder servo under the aft lifebelt.It makes for a neat and tidy installation

Just a couple of more things
I couldn't resist making the steering wheel operational.I fitted a servo under the steering column and a push rod up to a crank within,coupled the rudder and wheel together and bingo.Well I thought it was good anyway.
I now need to get the boiler tested in Nottingamshire somwhere and get some tuition and away I go.
Also hopefully the "driver" will grow a beard or something as he looks a bit young for this role.
