Are your rudders turning to far and acting as a brake ?
35 degrees should be far enough.
-
nope rudders are at 25 degrees

Move your centre of buoyancy a little further aft (Shift the battery to the back a bit!!) to keep the nose a little high and make sure your trim tabs are not down. This is a problem that full size Merseys have.
Also slow down a touch on the turn, it's a Lifeboat not an F1 Hydroplane. 8)

thank you mike, thats an interesting coment but im not sure thats going to cure it because at the moment the bow is to high out of the water as it is when its running and i dont think it is over powered, im running two mfa 850s turning 4 blade 45 mm props
and when the boat is stationary it is balasted slightly arft.

so what scale is your model biult to ? are your underwater fittings biult as to the origanal spec ? i used to operate a 1/12 scale tyne class alongside a freinds mersey most weekends with no problems !

she is 1:12 scale built to drawings supplied by the RNLI.

Hi, What batteries are you using? I have found that if you use SLAs as a power source in this model you may find that you are under the waterline. Solution could be to use lighter batteries to get the boat out of the water and up to the correct waterline.
