This are some photos of the Dutch working ships day.
It was placed at the biggest modelling harbour of the Netherlands, (Europe)
And with the new 2,4 Ghz frequensis more than 30 ships where sailing together.
In total more than 50 models are showed.
For My MM I made many details last months.
And also for the next IOS metting at 11-13 june in gutersloh.
The Seeker is also build scale 1:50 and 166x36cm (55 kg)

Really excellent models and photographs. Thanks for showing us them. Loved the one of the two kids getting a tow, no mamby pamby aerosol thought police present thank goodness. What was your boat(s)

Yesterday I made the first test sail with the self made CCP.
It was a test for the exact programming the pitch and ESC.
also to test the CCP and propshaft is watertide.
And the resuld was a very happy modeller.
I reduce the pitch to 38 degrees but still (to) much power.
The latest photos are also with th ethrusters full ahead..

Wow, what a great model.... I didnt see the older pictures before, and the webpage open in the middle of the set and detail shots. It wasnt until I scrolled down that I realised it was actually a model...amazing detail..... wish I had the time and skills available! Great work MTrader.

Hello.
Indeed that was last year in the modelling harbour of the SMG IJmond shipmodel club.
But that was with the old Pitsch controlled propeller.The new workes as original, and with the exact measures of the MANDiesel CCP.

That variable pitch propellor is a work of art - do you have any photographs of it being made or of the workings inside it.

The model Maersk master is finished jet.
After finishing the new CPP I build also the original (working) Ah/Tow winch.
Nearly without any drawings and only with some photos I tried to build the winch.
The winch is complete build under the superstructure so you can't see it in normal situation.
Also I must working in combination that the winch can taken out complete.

Actually I'm sure Mobile Marine Models still do a hull, although it's not on their website, drop them an email. They've had one at the last few shows I've been to. I was tempted to have one and convert it into a 1/32 anchor handling tug. Dave. :-))

Now that the Tow winch is complete it looks splendid - just one question
- some to the parts turned on the lathe, what material did you use to make them, it looks like
acrylic, is that right??

Hi Geoff.
I made the drums on the Lathe.
The biggest drum (anchor handling) is made of PVC, the smaller drum (towing) is made of plexy.
The main frame of the winch is made of print plate in combination of phosphor-bronze.
It looks difficult but it isn't.
Take your time and just do it.
The made the winch working is more difficult, special because the winch can be take out of the hull.

NO the type of models I make don't have huge winches like that on them ( warships)- I was just curious
as the material you used seem to make very clean shapes and be capable of fine detail. I was thinking of things like turret mounting rings etc.
