Title: A television question mainly for Ozzie members.

Would any of you gents remember the title of an Australian TV series staring a chap by the name of Andrew Keir? (I may well have the man's surname wrong because it might have an 'e' on the end). It was about an Englishman living in the rough-tough Australia and he had an Ozzie side-kick - a younger bloke.
We're talking a few years ago because the last time it was aired in the UK was back in the seventies.
Would you know the name of the series? And what was his (Mr Keir's) screen name?
