Model was taken from Model Boat Magazine plans showing the bow and stern as hard lines with the rest being faint (similar to photograph of Bismarck on fire, just before sinking)
Model built in1972 from 4 pieces of 4"x1"x36" balsa and a ply base with balsa superstructure, finishing at 55.25".
R/c was "bang-bang" Pixie radio, not good but it worked.
Girlfriend, now wife (36 years) helped with the painting.
Model met its end on 50th anniversary of Bismark's demise.
