My pal has 7 boats. 2 scale mtb's, one 'sports cruiser', a race 500, and a couple of tugs.
This season alone has cost him 5 ESC's at £39 a pop and a new 500 motor (the old one blowing 2 ESC's before he found the shorted turn).
He's had a real fire on the water (the waiting to be rescued boat) whilst testing a rescue barge which (although now slightly scorched) did it's job and recovered the smoldering hull in one go. :-))
His pet springer sprung a leak {:-{, and the Carlson threw a coupling {:-{. His race 500 went into full reverse all by itself and got swamped. >:-o
His battery packs are dying, and one of his transmitters has a dicky stick and he still needs a new receiver to replace the 'crispy' one.
All this and a knackered televison just as the world cup started.
Just how unlucky can one guy get! {:-{

Two alternatives spring to mind:
1:Take up knitting.
2: Put it all in a box and wait for bonfire night.
