Very Good :} How is the boat held on the slipway and then released?
-
i did not get to see the release mechanism . some sort of quick release hook I assume. hopefully the builder will see the post
and answer it for us. I do know the ramp has lots of rollers and is lightly greased, too retrieve the boat a line is attached via a pole and a winch hauls the vessel back up into the boat house .
I think it was its maiden trial, it was enjoyed by all.

Im guessing that its just a simple push system pushing the boat off a flat section of slipway onto the slope.
You could always run a chain up the center of the ramp and put 2-3 hooks on the hull of the boat, this would mean that you could let the boat up and down without touching it. Just an idea :-))

I am affraid your guessing was wrong Drkomen86 the sloped section of the slipway continues all the way into the boathouse. I am sure that Lifeboatpaul will put everyone right if he picks up on this thread. What I can say though is that the launch went very well with this boat, at Alfold he was trying the same thing with a ridged inflatable which didn't work so well.
