Title: psychic abilities
Post by: portside II on June 25, 2010, 10:33:57 am
What is it with women , have they found a way of tapping into a part of the brain we guys dont know about .
Take the other day , i had been out for a couple of hours (more like 4) at the pond and decided it was time to make my way home .Now i had just pulled into the garage and the phone rung ,
it's the wife "are you comeing home or what !" agh i am outside , how did she know ? , and is this something all women can do.
This is not just a one off , oh no this happens on a regular basis and sometimes at the most inopportune time ,
like when you are just fitting that fiddly bit of plasticard or the tiniest (they all look tiny without my glasses) screw they ring/call you .

So does anyone else have one of these psychic's , or is it just mine .

Men have it too. You just have to learn how to listen to it.   :}

Psychic, thank god for that, I thought she had me bugged.

Wife at work all day and me at home.

I put one step into the bathroom she rings me on the phone. This happens a lot as I am on large dosage of water pills.

Halfway through awkward soldering, she rings.

Struggling with hull in both hands while trying to run Epoxy resin seal round underside of deck, she rings.

So psychic it is then. :-))

You're not the only one that has that problem Daz,both my current partner and my daughter have that annoying knack. It always seems to happen especially when you're trying to relax too,or as you said, when you're working on an intricate part. <*<

My ex father in law was a cheerful little psychic.

Sort of a happy medium. ;)

Mine's favourite trick is just as I'm about to stand up to do something useful (boat, drawing, building work etc) she will ask 'what are you doing now?' in that tone that denotes she has got a job requiring at least  a couple of hours of my time.

I've taken to getting up very quickly and running to hide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This can't happen with me, as although my Wife has a Mobile for when she is out alone, Emergencies etc, She is on "Prepaid" and I and my son have told it is a terrible price to call on it, just for a chat,so she doesn't! Crafty, eh??

Liz's ability to know what I'm thinking is so uncanny that I've practically ceased to think for myself altogether; it makes arguements a thing of the past. Now when I'm confronted with a defiant statement which starts with "You  think that...." I can say "But of course  I do, my love - how clever  of you to know that".  %)
I believe I'm only retained these days for opening screw-top jars, signing bank transfer forms and answering business phone calls.
