Do you have an Hotmail account? If so forward to them, if not delete as Watchleader says. If you do have an Hotmail account, switch to Googlemail - they filter out this rubbish :-))

Or Yahoo- I got rid of Hotmail for just this reason.

It might be someone trying to use your email account for nefarious purposes.
Hotmail is the most attacked email service out there, but yahoo and others get it to a lesser extent.
-
I sometimes get similar emails claiming to be from a bank, telco, utility company etc. Report it and delete it.

Deleting my dodgy emails?
I don't know...Can't a man make a dishonest living around here...?
-
The body text is identical to several other emails claiming to come from various banks or other financial institutions. Copy the email address to your 'blocked' list (if you have one) then delete it and all similar that arrive.
Cheers,

The body text is identical to several other emails claiming to come from various banks or other financial institutions. Copy the email address to your 'blocked' list (if you have one) then delete it and all similar that arrive.
Note that the 'From:' field in emails is not checked during the transmission process in any way - you can put anything you like in it. You would normally put your email address in it, but dodgy (TM!) people will usually put a random address in there which will be different for each tranche of spam they send off.
So it is of limited value to put that address in a 'block list', and even less useful to report the address the the authorities....

Delete them immediately. :-))

I got one from HSBC - interesting, since I left 'em two years ago - and opened it. (It's ok, I'm an IT technician and I wore rubber gloves.) There's a short survey in there, then a few boxes to put your account details and PIN in. :o
Aye. Right.
