Title: Boston Lincoln pics reqd
Post by: Tug-Kenny RIP on July 20, 2010, 07:52:07 pm

A friend has asked me if I can find him pictures of the Boston Lincoln.   This is  (was?)  a fisheries collection vessel, which he fancies scratch building.

The little history that I have dug out is that she was in the Falklands in 1973 for a short time and also grounded once on Scarf Rock at Holborn head and was towed off by lifeboat and taken to Scrabster Harbour.  Amazing thing the Internet.  ;) ,  But no pictures can I find.   :((

Hope you can help with this one

Ken

Thats 8 photos of her in Grimsby. She was built as a fresh fish trawler ( fish kept in ice and not frozen ) but was lengthened and converted into a whole fish freezer trawler

Well thank you David. That was quick. The pictures are just what my friend could do with. I'm very impressed with the information.

Thank you very much.

Thank you Keith. Just the information we need. I had a browse around and will inform my friend of these details.

I don't think I shall attempt such a build myself, but it's what he wanted.

Thank you again

Ken
