Use thin picture hanging wire. Look for the picture hanging sets, I got 3 for 99p each, chucked out rhe hooks and just kept the wire! Ideal for guard rails at this scale as well as wire rigging etc. It will probably need painting as mine was steel, rather than brass, and it wasn't galvanized.

I bought some aircraft control line flying cable, you can get it in different thickness,s, it lasted years , still have some left, comes on a 6 inch reel.

Try a fishing tackle shop. Fishing trace I think it's called. Some of it, maybe all of it, is covered in a very thin plastic sleeving if I remember correctly. Not sure if it would be correct for 1/24th scale but I believe it comes in various gauges.

I found out about using this just after completing all my hand rails! I think it might have been a better option, but at the time... Thanks anyway

I looked for some of this fishing trace as my Dad used this as standing rigging on his yachts with great success, but all I could find was too thick, even without the plastic sleeving. I'll certainly pick some up when I see some though.
Thanks anyway
