Title: The Tug Lady Wooes
Post by: Tug-Kenny RIP on July 29, 2010, 07:51:52 pm

Hello everyone

I have won an Ebay auction of the Lady Wooes by Mobile Marine Models.   This is still in her Kit form but does NOT contain the deck fittings. There will be enough there to complete the Hull to deck level.

Has anyone built her as I will be looking for my usual hundred or so pictures.  (I find this the best way to approach modelling ) ;)

Hope you can help

Ken

Ken
Barry "Footski" has also built one, with the very first P94 off the line, and there's a couple of different installations shown on our wobblesite. I'm sure Mobile Brian will be able to supply the missing deck bits.

Ken,

I have the plan and pattern templates if you need them - apologies for not mentioning this in my earlier message.

I got all my deck fittings  (white metal) from Caldercraft - now Jotika - bar the major items which I fabricated courtesy of the Bits Box. Contact them and they'll no doubt send you their list of white metal fittings , all of which are/were of very good quality

Thanks Dan. Working on a secret project at the moment. If I can get my head around it, I might do a blog of that one first.     :}

Sorry Phil   :((  You never know who you're bidding against on Fleabay. I just bid a hundred and won it for a pound more than the last bid. To say I'm pleased is an understatement.     :}   Mind you, the price was the same as the original sale back in 2004, so he's broken even !!

I had a look Popeye, but it's not apparent. I checked the months each side as well.

Very helpful indeed. I'd like to take you up on your offer.   :-))

@ FLJ.  Thank you for the info. I must admit I went the same route and read Footski's blog again till I realised my mistake. So many 'Lady' boats around. Easy to get confused.

Here's a picture courtesy of a club member to show this gorgeous boat.

Absolutely fantastic build there, Martin. Very kind of you to show us.  :-))

Yes, I wouldn't mind some more as I shall need all the help I can get. (judging by what I've seen) If you could point me to their location I will copy them off.

I have three projects going through my head at the moment, so life is good.   O0 O0 O0

Whoops, I made a faux pas (must be getting old(er). The article on Lady Wooes was published in Model Boats JULY 2001 - can time have passed so quickly!
