Australia (Queensland) leads fight on obesity.
In a World first to combat the Nations rising obesity levels as advised in a recent WHO (World Health Organisation) report the Queensland government in partnership with the Federal Gillard Government’s Health Initiative has implemented the following free get fit health program.
Step 1. Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.
Step 2. With a 5 kg potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute and then relax.
Step 3. Repeat step 2 each day, you’ll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.
Step 4. After a couple of weeks; move up to 10 kg potato sacks.
Step 5. Then try 25 kg potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 50 kg potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. (I’m at this level.)
Step 6. After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each sack.
WHO advises National Benefits are,
1. Manufacturing industry; increased potato sack production.
2. Agriculture; more potato planting and crops
3. Population; Fitter meaner Aussies to win more games, cricket etc.

Nothing really to do with spuds and obesity....but still Australian, I gather from last Sundays papers that your internal politics are once again in a "State of Turmoil", Welsh Druids having apparently infected you all with something none of you seem to like (except the redhead). Please expound, as I seem to get better "news" on here than from what the Murdoch allows to be printed up here. BY.

It's election time, Bryan, so don't believe anything you hear, from any politician (as if you would, at any time of the year). The "Welsh Druid", PM Julia Gillard, and "Mr Rabbit", Tony Abbott, current leader of the opposition, are flooding TV with political advertising, most of which is completely ignored by the electorate, so the professional political commentators, aka journalists, are telling us what they think the pollies are really saying. All very fascinating.....NOT.
I've already made my mind up, and I'll be glad when it's all over.

Problem is it is only the marginal seats that get the big ticket items come election time. I don't think the PM even knows there is electorates here on the Gold Coast as they are all safe Liberal seats. We have not seen her. But West Sydney and a few Queensland marginals have been her second homes with lots of goodies promised but not until her next term so in other words never. You have to love spin from both sides.
