Hello
I just bought a wreck that will become a pond yacht...
The problem is that I can not identify her.
Maybe she is a British model?
It is in any case not a classic French, Nova, Borda, Deffain...
Length 68 cm
Width 15 cm
Could somebody identify her?

'A' class maybe ?
-
Definitely not "A" class - they're much bigger & average 54" - 58" (137cm - 147cm) waterline length.
My guess is it's not a commercial yacht but something homemade. It's almost identical in length, & has a similar keel, to the yachts "Comet" BR4 & "Baltic Star" SB4 produced by the Star Yacht Company, Birkenhead, England, although they're slightly beamier at 18.5 cm.
I've attached a couple of images of both that might give you an idea for a sail plan.
Hope this helps
Mark.

Hi vwlucas.
As mentioned earlier its a home made yacht and at 68cm not to one of the class sizes either.
The hull appears to be carved from a wood block so it does have a bit of age to it. something similar
cheers Frank

Thank you for the quick answers!
I do not know if it is a hand made model, but I'll take the pictures as reference to calculate the lenght ans position of the mast.
Tomorrow, big day! With the basin trials to estimate the weight.

Hello,
A new deck, and soon the rigging of the sails.

The seamstress has worked very well, but the sails are too white in my opinion.
Then I colored; tea or coffee?
