I hear John Pollit is seriously in hospital

It appears he had a one night stay in hospital and is back home. All is well with him..

Not seriously ill and not in hospital!

Having spoke to John twice in the past 2 days I can assure you that he is OK.
He went into Leeds General Infirmary on Wednesday for a procedure called Rotiblation.
This is to open up and clean the arteries around the heart. The procedure was a success.
He came home Thursday morning and rang me Thursday afternoon.
He also rang me today. He is going on holiday for a week as from tomorrow.

Thanks for the update guys.  As well as knowing John personally I'm also aware that he is very highly respected not only at his own club but also at a number of others including Kirklees.

I'm sure all wish him well and look forward to seeing him at the pondside again.
