Title: River Car Ferries
Post by: barriew on August 11, 2010, 11:33:26 am
Has anyone ever built a model of one of this type of car ferry? This was photographed in Port St Louis near the mouth of the Rhone. I believe it normally operated across the Rhone a little higher up stream. It is free sailing, not operating on chains laid on the river bed like the one across the mouth of Poole Harbour or across Windermere. I thought it would make a good subject for a model with quite a few working features, especially if RC cars to the correct scale were available!

I don't suppose any plans would be available.
