Title: A huge thanks to my Mayhem pals.
Post by: PMK on August 23, 2010, 03:52:02 pm
In particular, a huge thanks to each and every one of you who had sent me their best wishes regarding my little hiccup with the recent heart-attack malarkey.
Namely:

Rich, aka Dicky D.
John, aka Bloobs, aka Bluebird, aka electro' whizz and all-round Master model boat builder.
HS93, aka Peter, aka PeeWee, aka top-notch kind and generous bloke, aka Master mechanical supremo.
Terry (Tippett), aka God, aka electronics genius, aka the man who brought us his Gallatrol "Galloping Ghost" R/C system, prior to bringing us the much-loved Micron R/C company.
FLJ, aka Mavis, aka the bestest ever truly generous and non-pretentious bloke one could ever hope to meet.
And, of course, His Martiness, without whom this Forum would not exist and bozos like I would never have otherwise had the opportunity to meet such a great bunch of friends.
To each and all of you, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!".

Finally, a quick sidenote to our man John (Bloobs):
A very special thanks to you for your very special article, ref ACTion's P94 in the latest issue of MB. Just when I was feeling lower than a worm's wotzit in the hospital, you came along and cheered me up no end. Top Thanks for that!
Also a quick note for DickyD:
Dick, in case you're earwigging, please keep an eye open for a soon-to-follow thread, to be entitled perhaps "Ship-To-Shore Communications", or something along those lines. Due to your geographical location I'm hoping that you're perhaps just the man who might be able to help me out with a little project.

Now, if y'all excuse me, I'm off to play with my new toy. Although still dead sore at this juncture, my new on-board defibrillator wedged under the skin, actually looks a bit like a man-boob. What the heck... a boob is a boob after all, and lucky me gets to play with my very own personal one.

Later.................

Hello PMK, sorry I didnt realise you had been ill, hope you are on the mend now. My wife
had one of those fitted in January and has now totally forgotten about it most of the time,
but she is only 7 1/2 stone so it is a bit more conspicuous than yours.  I think she said
hers was only a bit uncomfortable for a few weeks.

Good to see you're upright PMK!
Man that does look sore, don't play with it too much yet old boy....
What do the doctors tell you about the unit,
 Don't walk under power lines?
 Don't operate High voltage equipment?
 Don't use 2.4Gig RC radio?

                                         (I'm a wee bit squeamish when it come to such things,  so I need a little lie down now ......  )   {:-{

Sorry to hear you had been ill - I honestly did not know - that's Dicky's fault, he usually fills me in on such matters.

You look after yourself, don't play with that thing, there are other things you can play with O0

Take care,

Martin down under
