Does anyone have any experience of using an eReader, please?
I am thinking of buying one as it would be much easier for me to buy and read books in English via such a reader. I am particularly interested in comments on screen glare/reflection.
My interest is around the Sony PRS 600 but I may delay until the PRS 650 is released.
Any advice and experience will be most welcome.

I use an ipod, not for music but for books. Wake up at three in the morning and I can listen whilst my wife slumbers on.
Out walking and its pleasent company, boring DIY and it relieves the tedium, even when I'm modelling its with me.
Even better, my eyes never get sore.

SWTSMBO has a Sony 505, keeps her quiet for hours, will be useful for holidays as about 25% of the luggage we used to take was cheap books to be left at whichever resort for other guests to circulate. She's threatening to get me the Amazon "Kimble", much cheaper and has good reviews. Not only do they take the "Normal" bok downloads but also PDF's. Even with sunlight behind you, contrast on screen is good and the ability to change the font size makes for easy reading.

I think I'd get one of the new Kindles if I was buying one now.
I one of the small netbooks running windows with freeware ebook software on it.
I didn't like the Sony ones, the screens flashed into reverse when you turn the page.
Cheers

Seems to be confusion on what it's called even on the Amazon sites but Furballs KINDLE wins the description.

Lance, can you explain what you mean, "...the screens flashed into reverse....", please.
Thanks to all contributors to date.

When "turning the page" on the wifes, the black letters on a silver background momentarily turn to silver letters on a black background.

That's it - it just annoyed the hell out of me when I saw it. I couldn't see any reason for it.

Spose it's a visual trigger to show the "page" has turned.
