I am just starting a Tyne models MCS Marlene it is a second hand kit and seems to have been supplied with two props the same hand so the question is will it have much effect having them rotate the same way?
the plus being the motors will be runing the same way and i'll not have to have one reverse wired so both will be efficient.
Will there be any noticable torque effect considering the props are on the rear corners about 6" apart.

As you have said you bought the kit second hand. Are the props the same as supplied by Tyne Models?
-
yes kit props just same hand

Possibly a mix-up with the props Dave but the kit is defiantly supplied with left and right props. Here is a photo of my build, still quite a bit left to finish her. she makes a great model hope you enjoy the build.

But back to my question will it have any detrimental effect having the same rotation?
-
Yes, it will endeavor to walk sideways a little, not so noticeable in free running, but detrimental in slow exact maneuvers in scale comps.

As i don't do comps i'll give it whirl first then

Especially noticeable when going astern! O0 Just think how a single screw boat acts going astern, with both props the same hand, it follows that there's a good possibility of the effect being doubled!!! :(( hth.
