Title: My Russian Southampton
Post by: swordfish fairey on September 16, 2010, 03:53:03 pm
I have almost finished a mild conversion of the Hobby Southampton to a Russian style tug,of the Soviet era. Just a bit of re-painting with a few added bits here and there. The badge on the bridge front came from a Russian aircrewmans hat in the 70's, ( you don't want to know how I came by it.. :o ). The crew are all 1/35th scale German figures, mainly Dragon. The pictures were taken on Yeovil Model Warships lake last Sunday......Smudge

Looking good Smudge! You don't seem to have improved the water level any though.

Hi Smudge, I really meant the water level in the lake, not on your tug!

Danny

PS I'm afraid I don't speak Russian!!! {-)

very nice looking tug, have you uprated the electrics at all? Ive installed an action p94 with a 3600mah battery pack located under the stearn hatch in my southampton, with a few minor bits and pieces in the wheelhouse
cheers
