Title: Not so new, new guy !!!
Post by: adam_goodin on September 23, 2010, 02:18:14 pm
Hello all, hope were all well and sailing fine!!
I actually signed up to this forum a good few years ago and only made a few posts... work, home life and such has been incredibly busy since.
However, ive picked back up my modelling and with you guys permission i'd like to get back into it and on this forum because i know it's a fantastic site with great members!
A little bit about me if you like... I have been into modelling for a long time like most people, since a very young age. I started in railway modelling, and infact still carry this on. However i have an obsession with shops/boats and even rigs/off-shore platforms etc.
My model boats interest is varied, and "in the workshop" are:
- HMS Illustrious at 1/96th (now on hold until i can find a fittings supplier)
- HMS Zulu at 1/96th (on hold)
- Tug boat Al Khubar, model slipway kit acquired from a friend, part way through build
- Tug boat Amsterdam, also from a friend, undergoing a major overhaul, refit and modifications
- Small fishing boat undergoing refit
- Tug boat 'Aziz' on order from model slipway (intending on modifying to a north sea supply/anchor handling tug)
- RTR Southampton - Sea worthy but under going refit and modifications (Steering improvements made!)
-HMS Bronnington at 1/100th (Deans kit) - in workshops to be built under M1154 HMS Kellington

Not a lot on the wet stuff just yet but i will upload photo's when i have the gear to do so !!
I also have an idea/plan to build a semi-sub drilling platform!
Thanks all and apologies for the long winded hello !!! :embarrassed:
Regards
Adam :-)

Greetings Adam.  I hope you keep all your kits seperate, I lose trap of the parts and I only
have one on the slips. And before anyone says anything yes my den/workshop is tidy.

Thanks guys.
I do tend to keep the appropriate parts seperate...im working from the small spare room at the minute but aslong as i keep it tidy..SWMBO is happy....not many can say that one haha :-)) :embarrassed:

Really looking forward to receiving my Aziz kit now, planning on a North Sea supply/Anchor handling vessel...so i'll be making some minor modifications. Might even build a semi-sub to play around with !!! :o
