Surely that's illegal!? Cant make out from the pic but is it supposed to be a model or a rowing boat?
-
Why is it a sick bird (Ill eagle) {-) {-)
There is a red warning flag which probably complies with maritime regs %) %)
-
It's a kayak, surely.
It will soon be on one of those interminably repeated TV shows "Police Stop" or whatever, to rival the moron with the planks across the rear of his motorbike !

Maybe just an unfortunate collision - I hope the car was left hand drive....
-
It is a Kayak, and yes its a left hand drive, and it is legal as denoted by the red flag, but ithink it would still be a bit hairy if a gust of wind caught it,

Perhaps it's the same guy as driving this car?!? O0 %% O0

Or this one??? O0 %% O0

id say the kyak must be illegal as its obscuring rearward vision , its also more than the three feet of overhang ! as for the last shot , it reminds me of a gent who used to show a reliant ant , who bought himself a small swan neck trailer that is coupled to a fifth wheel on the back chassis of the ant , he tied the fifth wheel on useing rope ! unfortunatly the ministry of transport didnt like this method of restraint !
-
Hopefully this was legal then!

Its only illegal if you get caught,...and as for obscuring rearward vision,..well as long as you can see the rear using your wing mirrors then no law is broken,..but in this guys case I,d reckon he,d be lucky not to fall foul,as by the looks of it he might only see using one mirror,

I agree with Wullie! You don't have to have a rear view mirror, I drive a transit that doesn't have one, but you do have to have wing mirrors, unless your vehicle was designed without them! You are allowed 1m of rear overhang I believe BEFORE you have to put a warning flag on it, With a flag you are allowed a longer overhang, but I do not believe you are allowed to have anything sticking out the side of your vehicle more than a few inches as it causes a danger to pedestriansm, or yourself if you have an accident.

My GOD! What scale of model is that!
-
At a rough guess i'd say scale size is BIIIIIIIIIIIG :} %) :D :-))

1/32nd HMS GLOUCESTER Type 42 = 4.5m long
-
But is it a kit,..or a scratcher, the biggest kit that i,m aware of is the 1/96 Yamato,

I've heard Fleetscale are going to be doing a hull for an LNG carrier as big as, if not bigger than 1/96 Yamato! That would be interesting to move about to the lakeside!! Would be able run it on LNG too %% %% Dave
