Title: Apparition!
Post by: Ben Tickle on October 11, 2010, 01:44:49 pm
Hi,

With my apparition, previously i have been using 2 nimh packs. Then i transfered to 1 11.1v lipo. I have a choice of 2 which i have. I have a 30c 4200mah or 25c 2000mah pack. The 2000mah pack is considerably smaller and lighter. I am only asking if i use the smaller pack(2000mah) 25c, because it draws a large amount of current, do you think the battery may explode?

Thanks

Ben :embarrassed:

All depends on what esc and motor your running and the draw the motor & prop putting on esc and batts, the best thing to do is run for a minute then check the temps of the esc, motor and batts, but to be fair 3s is not really enough for this size hull, depending what you want out of it

Hi,

I have spoken to model power today, and they have advised me that my 2000mah lipo 25c will be sufficeient as a:-

25c pack=50amps

and i have a 40 amp fuse inline between battery and speed controller and also between speed controller and motor.

Please may you let me know your views?

Thanks
