Yes the weather was brilliant and well worth the Visit up to Glasgow, and the welcome from both Elder Park MBC and my thanks to Big Bri for driving me around to see the other 45's and making sure I did not over-stay my Visa  :}  :}  also great to meet so many other Mayhem and Warship site Members.  :-))

A few of my pics , will also be putting up a small vid of the Launch.. Behind The scaffolding in the large sheds are sections for one of the New Aircraft carriers.

What's with the bow in pic DSCF1107?

It looks as if they've left the bulbous bow off, which seems a little strange as it'll be underwater after they launch it...unless it's part of the weapons system or something and is added later?

the Duncan will be towed down the river to the old yarrows yard where it will be fitted out
with the props, sonar etc in drydock
also the stays that held the rudders staight when it launched and the chain attachment points will
all be removed :-))
and final fitting out will take place

It is left off deliberately if the boat is to be dynamically launched, for fear of ripping the structure from the hull,as the bulbous nose would still be on the slip as the stern of the boat floated upwards. <:(
