Title: RNLI colous
Post by: ukboats on November 02, 2010, 10:10:27 am
I have all the colours for the hull and super structure but can anyone tell me the colour for the handrails and aerial, the appear to be black or dark blue in photos. Are the gloss or satin? The aft railings change to white, is this correct.

The colour of the rails will depended on what boat you are building and to what date.  Currently the Severn for example has matt black rails on the fore deck and the stations for the guard rails but they have been other colours in the past. You need to look at the boat your building a model of and how it was at the date you are building too. You will find things like this get changed at every re-fit about every 5 years.
