I am looking at buying a first tug kit, as cash is tight just now I was looking at either Billing Banckert, Caldercraft Gantock or maybe one of the Mobile Marine Models tugs.
I live in Greenock and am hoping to get some tug towing competions started at my local club. Any help would be great guys. :)
Thanks
David

hi dgp have a look at the mobile marine nangee, eurogirl or norton cross they can all be made single screw and on a budget and will all make great tug towing boats with the right motor prop winch combo. there will be quite a few towing boats at brians pre season doo on the 10th march at his premises in lincoln if u can try makeing a trip and come see us all

I have built a Robbe S boat, and am in the process of building Fleetscale Graf Spee.(going to be a long haul) ;D

Hi DGP, David I would look for some thing a little larger then the banckert tug
if you intend to tug tow, especially if you are on your own and the
first time towing. Like Steve Say's if you can get to the M.M.M.show
on the 10th of march there will be people there to give good advice
on towing.

Norrie,
I am a member of Greenock club, and recently was elected Scale Sec. I am trying to get various events and compettitons set up at the club. There are a lot of tugs in the club and tug events was one of the major areas of interest shown by the scale boys in the club.
