They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Lest We Forget.

Thank you for posting this Rex, very emotive. We must not forget the sacrifices made by so many nations, so that we are free to live our lives as we do.

Thank you to one and all who have fought for our freedom.

I take time to remember all the dead from all wars, as most on all sides would have rather been at home with wives and mothers.

we shall remember them

This is not intended to be disrespectful, but here in Germany  on the 11th November at 11 o'clock, is the start of the Carnival Season, with crowds , numbering literally thousands,of drunken men and women, singing and making fools of themselves. The rest of Europe mourns and the Country and People who caused the Slaughter of both World Wars has a Party. Nuff said...........

We shall remember them, always and forever.

Also the ones currently fighting at war, come home safely and lets see some peace soon.

Kind Regards, Jim.

Yes Nordsee, but in a different light, a few years ago while staying in a small village close to the Rhine, I took time out to look at the memorial in the village square to their fallen from WW1. Same downward looking stance as our own memorials in the UK. Only the uniform is different and ALL were someones loved one.

Cannon fodder doesn't start wars, they just pay the price. Pity the "Protesters" the other day didn't think about this weekend.

  Regards  Ian.
