Hi, can anyone tell me if a 2.4 gig transmitter, will tune in to an Mtronics speed controller,or would the speed controller have to be "tuned in " as normal, as if using a 40meg setup? I am hoping Father Christmas is going to bring me a nice new 2.4 radio, but never having had one before, would like to know if I am going to encounter any problems, as I am NOT very technically minded (a thicko !) Thanks. Mick

I use the GiantCod 2.4 radio set and am now putting these in all my models without any real problems so far.
The transmitter is set up for aircraft and just toggling the throttle lever sorts any problems
This includes Mtronic, ACTion, Electronise and a few other speed controllers.

thanks for that,
I suppose I should have said it was intended for model boats, but I assume they would be both the same to set up. A normal Mtronics speed control, has to be tuned in to the transmitter, and for thickos like me who cant respond quick enough it can take a while! They are brilliant speed controllers though.

I had no problems with my Spectrum 5 2.4 gig and Mtroniks 40 speed controller and they work well

great! thanks. thats just the combo I will be using, IF Santa comes of course!

If you believe in Santa and hang out your stocking he will come O0 O0 O0

drat, I only wear tights, so they will have to do ! I might get one radio in each leg !

Hi Guy's. I have two 15 amp mtronicks in my latest build using a planet 2.4 radio set. If you have to set them just follow the instructions just like using 40 or 27 no problem.

I have 1 20 amp viper in the slow spear (soon to become the slightly faster spear :-) ) and 2 25 amp vipers in the huntsman all running on a planet t5

thanks to everyone, I have the gist of it now. I think we can close the subject now ? Merry christmas to one and all !
