Title: Model Boat club Lake Frozen Over Completely

Hi...... Has anyone elses lake frozen over recently...  Ours has here in the west midlands KWPMBC, you could skate on it but thats about all ! Have most people given up for the winter, or are some of you still managing to sail, just thought id'e ask...

Frozen solid enough to stop boating here, but not yet solid enough to drive a skidoo on them.

of course, that doesn't stop some of the... dimmer bulbs in the box, as it were.   %)

6 acre pond frozen to a depth of 8 inches has been for two weeks, mind you last year it was 14 inches for 13 weeks !!

our local lake was all good last sunday , had an enjoyable hour with one other chap with an old sailing boat !

Westport Lake in Stoke-on-Trent has been frozen over for couple of weeks now preventing any sailing. I am going down today to check it out if I get time, Dave. :(

Popped over to Bournville last week and there was at least 3 to 4 inches of ice. Measured scientifically by sticking my hand in the gap round the edge!

While it has probabaly thawed a bit over the last few days I can see it solidifying again this weekend.

...a couple more inches and you could have a good ice hockey game {-), perhaps an Ice Breaker is in order.
