Hello all,

As a new member to Model Boat Mayhem, it’s a pleasure to be able to interact and utilize resources of extremely talented people.
As my name implies I’m originally from Australia, Sydney but don’t hold that against me.  I moved to and am living in Houston Texas, for over 20 years now but still an Aussie at heart.

I love building RC models, most of which were planes here in the US.  I say were as my flying skills left much to be desired!  Sooner or later terra firma took over then it was back to my enjoyment… building.
Back in Australia I built several boats, one gas powered speedy called “The Mongoose” that was fun until the Noise Ordinance Police shut that down, and then came the electrics.

I have always been interested in Tug boats, with a live steam plant.  My New Year’s Resolution is to build the Christiaan Bruning from Deans Marine, with of course a twin steam power plant.  This won’t be a fast project as that four letter word, “Work” tends to eat up most of my time and also them “Honey Doo’s” account for its fare share, if you know what I mean.

Sorry about getting a little carried away here.  I am real excited about this Forum, and will consider this to be a two way communication.
Best regards,
Geoff.

How many Geordies do you have down under?

I have absolutely no idea, but I'm sure there are quite a few O0 I just don't happen to know any :-) I have quite a few English friends, but most of them come from south of the Humber.
