Does anyone know more about the contents of this kit RAF CRASH TENDER REVIVAL KIT for Lesro? I am sorely tempted to purchase but the price of £279 seems a bit steep to me for what you get? Can anyone give any advice or comment? I am not being mean about the price as I have purchased some quite expensive kits but this seems quite a basic model with minimal fittings. Any comments would be appreciated!
Best wishes to all and a Happy New Year!

Paul. If you use the search facility you will find a thread by Dodgy Geezer covering this model.Personally i feel it is overpriced.John

Have you thought about the Kingston Mouldings glassfibre hull and plan? - believe this is a more accurate hull.

Have a chat to Jotika - they said that they were going to be bringing out some more Aerokits shortly. I see they have a Sea Commander on their pages now, and I believe they were working on a new set of fittings for the Crash Tender...

have a look on the fireboat web site http://modelfireboats.com/index.php I l prefer the http://www.kingstonmouldings.com/pdrafcrashtender.htm hull as it is a lot more accurate, it can easily be built twin screw and you can choose you materials to use so make it a lot lighter so it will perform easily for longer, there is now more info available than ever be for so an accurate boat can be built the kit is only single. I have one ready for paintand have built four or five wooden fire boats in the past, I now prefer the lighter approach but that is me. brushless is the only way to go these days cheaper faster and you can use old gell cells if you build light. a few pictures of my boat before paint

Really lovely craftsmanship Peter and the detailing is excellent - a boat that's really going to stand out from the crowd methinks. O0
