Hi,

Should only be for a water cooled back plate, remove and check to see, it will allow the backplate to be filled with passing water.
connect the water pick up pipe to the bottom nipple then another piece of pipe from the top nipple up to any nipple on the
cylinder head, than the other nipple on the head is the outlet.

Hope this is of some help.

Gary.
