Hello Everyone
Just thought I would introduce myself being new to this forum I have been interested in model boats for many years my main interests are merchant ships from 1900 to 1950 or basically anything unusual. As a kid 1960s I used to sail toy boats on cadburys pool in birmingham ,but it wasnt until about 20 years ago that I built my first boat from scratch it was from a free plan I got from a friend of a yacht called Witch Wind, It wasnt very successful, (basically it sank ) I then built caldercrafts Sir Kay which was ok for the first  attempt at a Kit ( well at least it floated) I then built  slipways Bonny & Kelly which was brilliant (smug) won recognition at the national boat exhibition at RAF halton 1998 ( or was it 97 ) sorry memorys going a bit. shortly after that I sold all my models ( a bit complicated ) and haven't done anything for 10 years or so. But now I have got the bug again (it never leaves you) and have bought deans sir walter raleigh.

so there you go
