This vessel was just down the river from my mooring on the River Dart, passed it many times, seems surreal that it sunk?

Very much hope that no life was lost.Its especially sad when a historic boat is lost. lets hope that she can be salvaged. As with any
old vessel you need deep pockets. Sadly in Britain there are few ways to get grants to help with costs. Unless your talking about the
Olymphics in which case its all right to build a stadium,use it for a short time.Then pull it down or alter. Despite promises to keep.
Something about White Elephants comes to mind. John.

sadly the skipper is missing presumed drowned.....went back to the wheelhouse to recover some navigational aids, and that was the last anyone saw of him.
