Title: "Questionable immigration"
Post by: oldiron on February 13, 2011, 02:14:33 pm
And you thought you had problems with less than legal immigration. This is the latest one for Canada. The magic word here is"asylum", then we can't touch them. If I shake my head any more over this stuff its going to fall off.

its a problem worldwide , we have a regular uk border force program on tv , the biggest joke is when they show a raid to catch these illegal immigrates working , they arrest them , then if they have no documents or passport release them to report to the immigration office . what happens , they dissapear into the countryside ! as a country we are far too soft . deportation to all is the only way to curb the problem .

It's OK arresting them but if it can't be ascertained where they are from there is nowhere they can be sent back to.
They Know the system, Play the system and usually beat the system.
Seems to me South Georgia could be put to good use

Here it would most likely be the Isle of Wight or the Isle of Man for a holiday

The trouble with the phrase "human rights" is that it has become a euphemism for weakness and political correctness..

The UK people have been browbeaten for years by the media and politicians who think that we should take in the rest of the world, as we once had a commonwealth.

Some council will not let you fly a union jack outside your home...A work mate was told by a council lackey that "it was provocative a might upset other local racial groups" >:-o

I don't think the manx would play ball with the idea of "rehousing" refugees....They have no problem with their citizen flying the their flag :-))

Why spoil a lovely island? Why not that island (Gruniaud?) that had/has the anthrax spores. BY.

Its funny the differences between The UK and Finland.... If you dont fly a Finnish flag on certain public holidays you are considered rude.  If a council official tried that here he would most likely find himself hanging from said flagpole by his ankles

Also immigration is much much harder, and benefits harder to obtain.  The benefit system here is very good and pays well but its only paid to those who need it.

If you are registered as unemployed then you HAVE to go on a retraining/work experience course.  No sitting at home for the unemployed here.
