Title: couplings

Hi,

I am looking around for a coupling for my 48'' steam drifter. The prop will be 60mm driven by a 12v buhler motor, although the drive train will be changed for steam plant when I get the steam stuff done.

Can anyone recommend something suitable? I have looked at dyco, but its hard to tell if they are man enough for the job.

The dyco's are pretty strong but what about a cheap-n-cheerful rubber bobbin type.  They allow for a degree of misalignment (although looking at your other work, probably won't be needed ;D)
They come in various sizes and 'ends'. DM does mail order:

There is a BRASS equivalent of the Daycos which form the sliding drive joints on RC cars, see the picture attached. Try any Model Shop that specialise in cars.

Or try Huco couplings, generally something for everyone there.

My local model shop sells them and will get most sizes on order if needed.
