hi
started a new build converting to brave borderer, got a cheap hull for perkasa badly out of shape got it back in to shape which should do,3 home made prop shafts ball raced 3 540 motors at 99p each home made motor mount.
any info would be of great help like a top view to help build upper works.

6705russell is building one, he had her on the lake the other day and she looks wonderful. You can see his work on the following link. Good Luck :-))

Hi
More update, props rudders fitted, also deck and wheel house using one esc for the 3 motors seem to run OK its 110amp.
using pics from forum to build.
-
Hi Vosper, you are getting on well with your build,
but is there enough room to get your torpedo,s down the side of the wheelhouse?
the deck seems very narrow on the picture.

hi
maybe not enough room it is all guess work, i can not find any diemensions of torpedo's to help work out size, was just going to put empty racks and extra fuel tanks on plus the guns.
-
There is no gap between the torpedos/racks and the superstructure on the Brave, more or less butt up....
If you need a copy of the plans in 1/24 scale i have a set i can copy and send..

Looks good Vosper - are we going to some shots of it on the water or underway?
-
Hi
well put on decals, and have now suppressed the motors, had a lot of interference rudders going all over The place then suppressed and all is great, its nice to know they do the job. got 50 of each type for £3.20.
-
interesting engine mount, be interesting to see how three 540`s push the boat though, looks the part -- nice job
-
hi
thanks
well i only have an 8.4v battery for it so i don't think it will fast, trying to save for 12v battery then hopfully it should go better then, not been on open water yet.
the motors were very cheap so not sure how good they will be they were .99p each.
