I have been into model making for about 65 years Scale boats, Yacht racing, Glass case Ship models, Scale R/C powered  aircraft and Gliders
My major ship modelling project was a 1/48 working scale model of I.K. Brunel's SS Great Britain, seven years ago we moved from Essex to Chesterfield and there was no room to keep SS Great Britain so I sold it and it is now resident in Scotland. it can be seen on my  website along with a few other projects at  http://www.whoisadrianmcquire.com (http://www.whoisadrianmcquire.com) my next model boat project is Costeau's Calypso. and its time I found a Club in this area too!

Welcome Adrian . Just had a look that SS Great Britian looks a splendid model.  If you have been at this game for 65 yrs
don't suppose you will have many questions but you should be able to give a few answers.

Welcome Adrian,
Try looking up Sheffield Ship Model Society,
they usually sail in Millhouses park on Abbeydale Road in the south of Sheffield.
