Post by: rathikrishna on May 22, 2011, 06:57:46 am
Good morning Friends...first of all i APOLOGIZE to you all for posting my articles in to the name of Rathi..it was because of my helplessness, as i am in bed..but now i know i have only a little time in my life to do something..and yes i am too thankful to some of my seniors in my country, who inspired me back in to life...so now i am alone, and yes have some relief...and yes i got an opportunity to serve my nation through my modeling...it was the time to forget all pain...and only inspiration...some how i finished this craft in to 2.7 meters..and fully scratch built, including control system...

each and everything was scratch built, including drive motors...it came from power steering assisting mechanism, actually 12 volts, and reworked for 6 Volts, 2400 KVA...

the 12 channel radio was hand made, the control columns are from an old Siemens RC, based on 27.145 MHz...and the ESC is made of PWM basics, driven by two pairs of MOSFETs it spans in 60 Amps each, and a simple TIP 3055 based speed controller for thrust pump...a cooling fan from an old SMPS was used to cool the circuits...

Friends and colleagues...i hope i can do more in to modeling...if god allows me...now i am working on a new craft, is BLACK RAY, is an uncrushable craft, controlled by infrared sensors, in 360 degree so i can leave her in water, and can go for my tea...she will run in a preset speed, until the battery sensor, detects its minimum level, then guides her to shore...now i am wiring the circuits for it...within that time i have to collect more information from you all...it was a long break....please pray for me once...its a request...

Excellent work in my opinion.  I like the idea of doing the foam and overlaying it.  And you build your own RC units, beautiful.

Keep up the good work.

VERY nice!
How do you achieve such a smooth, glossy finish over foam?

Nice to see you back on the forum.

Geoff

Friends, and veterans, sorry for the delay in replying..Sir, i will post a detailed article, about making a craft from expanded polystyrene, (thermocol), from start to finish..sure, as now i am working on an uncrashable craft, is my BLACK RAY, is packed up by infrared sensors, in 360 degree, to control it from crashing...so, sure i will make a craft for you, all, and will post detailed steps of that for a nice building...and yes thanks for the inspiration to me...sure...thanks once again..
