Title: A sad sight indeed
Post by: pettyofficernick on June 02, 2011, 01:37:47 pm
Whilst afloat in the East Float, Birkenhead Docks, I found HMS Bronnington, she was in Vittoria dock, but dissapeared a while ago, now I know where. The phots speak for themselves. Note the tree growing out of the deck. Very sad. :(( :(( <:( <:(

Here's a (possibly) more recent photo?

I took these phots today, she is now by the old sand berth in the East Float. The one on ship spotting shows her in Vittoria dock I think.

Ah sorry, I apologise, I misread your post.

It's a very sad sight indeed. I hear the deck alone needed at least £20,000 worth of repairs when last assessed in 2009. Wasn't there also some talk of her becoming an artificial reef at somepoint?
