Title: Norwich Sub Day
Post by: admiral donuts on July 06, 2011, 07:33:55 pm
Hi Guys,Donuts here,

I have just surfaced to recharge batteries after a spell in the local Hospital on intravenous drips and as usual have been given a job by our club chairman.

I have to tell all you sundodgers out there that we are running a sub day on 27th Sept.Subs will be at the top end of the pond with the boom separating the pond for warships at the clubhouse end.

Given the lack of response from the skimmer skippers in May,I do not expect any different in Sept so we will have the pond largely to ourselves and hopefully lessons will have been learned and the National Sub Day reinstated for next August.

Please attend if you can and let our committee have your points of view about any changes you would like to see implemented for next year
Regards Donuts

Hi Sundodgers everywhere, just an update on the Norwich Sub,sorry, Naval day. There has been lots of interest from the silent service but the skimmer captains are as scarce as the Italian Grand Fleet after Taranto.Looks like we have the pond all to ourselves !!!!
Could people that are attending the event please P.M. me so I can arrange equipment for your use, tables chairs, marquees etc,
Look forward to seeing you all

Not long to go this. (I see it's the next one up on the 25th)

I'm not going to be able to make it myself but chatting to folks at Barrow you will be having a strong "Northern Contingent" with you.

I look forward to next years event at Norwich in a blisteringly hot August!

Thanks for the support Davy,It will be nice to see some soul mates from up north again.Warship responses are not worth mentioning so it looks like the pond will be our sole domain again, apart from the two or three local grey funnel jobs that is
Hope to see you again next August

To correct your mistake, 25th September was Norwich Naval Day not subs day, as it seems to have been retitled, organised by NMBC with their members displaying their boats along with the warships and subs.
