hi all almost ready to start my build of the mmm eldergarth and been doing usual research before build my query is that has any one had or used the mmm BF 24 motors as been told these are much better than the T range motors they do or would i be better sticking with the old faithful Bosch motors which i know do give around 14lb pull

i tend to agree with you  :-)) but have herd so much hype about these new motors from mmm thought i would ask the question as not been inpressed with the T type motors they do  {:-{ and at £70 a pop to much money to gample if not upto scratch

When buying a pair of t12s from mobile marine. I was told how great they were.In my opinion there ok but
overated. Not being that good on juice. John.

hi john have had the same response from everyone i know thats tried the mmm motors but not been able to find anyone as yet that have tried the new BF24 hence this posting

Might be worth looking at the 900 motors soldby Action Ive 3 and they perform ok. Buy at 24v need cooling if
run hard. John.

hi john have been testing those in my mmm eurogirl hull and seem to run ok but don't think they would cope in the eldergarth as did ballast test on the empty hull today and came to a hefty 14.5 kilos  :o so think something with more grunt is needed

They are fairly hefty motors and can swing a decent sized prop.Possibly give it a go. Voltage can as you know
go up to 24v depending on esc. Like a lot of things it all depends what speed and torque you require.Good

hi i am building a banckert tug. can any one help me with what type of motor, speed controller and receiver. i am hoping to do some toeing. thanks

I my tug there is two ford fiesta radiator fan motors, I got alot of pull and they dont drain alot of power. :-))
